The 8 dealer shipping scenarios we handle most often

The Honest Pricing Take

How multi-vehicle pricing actually works for dealers

No fake volume tier programs. Just honest carrier economics applied to dealer shipments.

We don't run a formal dealer rate card with tiered volume discounts (5% off at 10 vehicles, 10% off at 25, etc.). That's a fiction many brokers print on dealer-marketing pages but few honor consistently — and the dealers who've worked with multiple brokers know it. What we run instead is straightforward: standard per-vehicle pricing for single shipments, with genuine per-vehicle savings when you consolidate multiple vehicles into a single trailer load on the same route.

The savings come from real carrier economics. An open auto carrier holds 7–10 vehicles. Filling that trailer with three of your vehicles going to the same lot — same pickup point, same destination, same driver, same paperwork — costs the carrier less than running three separate single-vehicle pickups across the country. We pass those savings through as a multi-vehicle quote that prices better per vehicle than three single-vehicle quotes would.

Tell us your shipment volume and route at quote time. We'll price the multi-vehicle scenario for you with the actual per-vehicle savings, not a fake tier discount that doesn't materialize at booking.

Auction Lanes

Auctions we routinely service

Our carrier network handles pickups from every major U.S. auto auction. No special program required — auction pickup is standard auto transport.

Wholesale and collector auctions are part of routine auto transport — our carriers pick up from auction yards the same way they pick up from any pickup address. No special "auction account" or contract required on our side. Our dispatchers know which auction yards have which logistics quirks (gate hours, lane release windows, document handoff procedures), so we can coordinate pickup timing around your buy-side logistics. Below are the auctions we ship from most often.

If you're winning at an auction we haven't listed, we can almost certainly still handle pickup. Independent dealer auctions, regional wholesale auctions, dealer-direct auctions — all standard auto transport. Tell us the auction name and pickup location at quote time.

Carrier Vetting

How we vet every carrier handling dealer inventory

6 checks. No exceptions. Same vetting standard for a dealer's multi-vehicle load as for a single retail customer.

A dealer multi-vehicle load is more inventory exposure than a single consumer shipment. Every carrier handling dealer freight gets the same six-point vetting we apply to every load — not a relaxed standard because the customer ships volume. Carriers who fail any one of these don't get the load.

Honest Take

When a dealer needs a specialized fleet broker instead

We're not the right fit for every dealer. Here's when a different partner makes more sense.

For independent dealers, small-chain operators, and dealers with mixed shipment volume that doesn't require fleet-contract logistics, our standard brokerage model is usually the right fit. For larger operational needs, we'd point you toward a specialized fleet logistics partner rather than overselling what we offer.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Direct answers to the most common dealer transport questions

Do you offer a formal dealer discount program?

No, and we're upfront about that. We don't run a formal dealer rate card with volume tier discounts, dedicated account managers, or exclusive dealer pricing. What we do offer is honest per-vehicle pricing that prices better when you consolidate multiple vehicles into a single trailer load on the same route — savings based on real carrier economics, not a fake tier program.

Can I ship multiple cars at once?

Yes. Multi-vehicle shipments are common for dealer customers and price better per vehicle than single-vehicle shipments on the same route. An open auto carrier holds 7–10 vehicles, so 3–10 vehicles going to the same destination from the same pickup point typically consolidates into one trailer. Tell us your shipment volume at quote time and we'll price the multi-vehicle scenario.

How does multi-vehicle pricing actually work?

2–4 vehicles consolidated into one trailer load on the same route typically prices 10–15% lower per vehicle than separate single-vehicle quotes. 5–10 vehicles (full or near-full trailer) typically prices 15–25% lower per vehicle. Savings come from the carrier saving time, fuel, and paperwork by consolidating the load — they don't come from a discount program we apply on top.

Can you pick up vehicles from auction yards?

Yes. Our carrier network handles routine pickups from major U.S. wholesale auctions (Manheim, Adesa, ACV, Copart, IAA) and collector auctions (Mecum, Barrett-Jackson, RM Sotheby's, Bring a Trailer). Auction pickup is standard auto transport — our dispatchers coordinate gate hours, lane release windows, and document handoff with the auction yard.

How long does dealer auto transport take?

Pickup typically happens within 1–3 days of booking. Transit times vary by distance: short routes (under 500 mi) take 1–3 days, mid-distance (500–1,500 mi) takes 3–6 days, cross-country (1,500–2,800 mi) takes 5–9 days. For time-critical inventory moves with hard deadlines, express auto transport offers 24–48 hour pickup at a 30–50% premium.

Is dealer inventory insured during transport?

Yes. Every Navi shipment is covered by the carrier's cargo insurance during transit. Open carriers carry $100K–$250K cargo coverage per vehicle. Enclosed carriers carry $250K–$1M. Active coverage is verified on every carrier before assignment. For high-value inventory beyond standard carrier coverage limits, we can confirm carrier policy specifics at quote time.

Do you offer net-30 or business credit terms?

No. Payment is on dispatch, same as consumer shipments. For dealers who require net-30, net-60, or other formal B2B credit terms, a fleet logistics partner with a credit department is a better fit than a brokerage like us.

What's the best transport type for dealer inventory?

For standard inventory (sedans, SUVs, trucks under $50K retail), open transport is the cost-effective standard — carriers fit 7–10 vehicles per trailer. For premium inventory ($75K+ retail, classics, exotics, customer-bound deliveries), enclosed transport adds 40–60% to the cost but protects against weather, road debris, and lot-prep concerns.

Can you handle dealer-to-dealer trades?

Yes. Dealer-to-dealer trades are one of our most common dealer shipment types. Pickup at the sending dealer's lot, delivery at the receiving dealer's lot, real-time tracking via Navi Track 360™. Common when one dealer has a vehicle a customer at another dealer wants, or when dealer groups are rebalancing inventory across locations.

Can you deliver vehicles directly to retail customers?

Yes. Customer delivery is a routine dealer use case — common for online sales, special-order matches, or out-of-state buyers. Vehicle picks up at the dealership and delivers door-to-door to the customer's address. The customer or an authorized representative (18+) needs to be present at delivery to sign the Bill of Lading.

Do you integrate with dealer management systems (DMS)?

No, we don't currently integrate with DMS platforms or run EDI feeds with auctions or dealer groups. Bookings happen through our standard quote and dispatch process. If your operations require automated load-tendering integration, a DMS-integrated logistics provider is a better fit.

How do I get a dealer multi-vehicle quote?

Use the instant quote calculator for single vehicles or call (302) 278-4298 for multi-vehicle shipments. Be ready to share pickup location (auction, dealer lot, or address), delivery location, number of vehicles, vehicle year/make/model for each, and your timeline. Multi-vehicle quotes are usually returned within an hour during business hours.
